Hello! I'm Henry Manciu, a 15-year-old junior golfer from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Golf is my passion and giving back is my purpose! I admire the golfing legend Jack Nicklaus who said, "There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up!"
I am so excited to be a part of the AJGA's Leadership Links program. This program helps develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service oriented practices at an early age. I am raising funds for these two fantastic organizations:
1) The Jack and Barbara Nicklaus Health Care Foundation, whose mission is to advance and enhance health care for children locally and globally. The Foundation helps children receive critical treatment and brings hopes to kids fighting for survival.
2) The Liberty National Ace Grant, which provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. Participating in elite junior golf tournaments can be an expensive endeavor for families, and the Liberty National ACE Grant reimbursement program helps reimburse lodging, travel expenses, equipment and tournament fees for players who qualify for financial assistance.
There are several ways to support me!
1. Make a donation, just because. Every donation, no matter the size, encourages me and helps get me closer to my goal. THANK YOU!
2. Get together with me to have fun and improve your game! I offer chipping, putting and simulator sessions in exchange for a donation to my campaign. Support great charities and GOLF at the same time! 30 minute chipping and putting coaching session - suggested donation, $20. Play 18 holes with me on an indoor simulator - choose from hundreds of great courses! Suggested donation, $25. Each additional golfer for simulator session, suggested donation, $10. Up to three golfers at a time to make a foursome with me. All payments are made directly to my fundraising page and are tax deductible. Canonsburg area. 3. Sponsor my tournament birdies! At the WPGA Junior Championship at Lone Pine Country Club on June 9, I carded five of them. I’ll keep you posted here about my birdie stats.
