Hello! I'm Henry Manciu, a 16-year-old sophomore and varsity athlete at Canon McMillan High School using my passion for golf to give back! I admire the golfing legend Jack Nicklaus who said, "There is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up!"

Thank you for supporting me as I raise funds for the Jack and Barbara Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and the Liberty National Ace Grant. The Nicklaus Foundation supports programs focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of childhood illnesses, while the Liberty National Ace Grant helps junior golfers who need financial assistance to compete in elite tournaments with the goal of winning college scholarships.

There are several ways to support me.

1) Make a donation, just because. Every donation, no matter the size, encourages me and makes a difference.

2) Sign up for a simulator session at my Canonsburg home. Choose from hundreds of golf courses around the world on the Skytrak simulator! Up to three golfers to make a foursome with me! Suggested donation: $25 for one hour or 18 holes on the sim - whichever is longer. If you beat me, your round is FREE! I also offer 45-minute coaching sessions for junior golfers which include simulator time plus chipping and putting on my five-hole putting green with Golden Bear turf. 3) Donate your gently used golf equipment and apparel! In 2025, I raised about $1,500 by holding a golf equipment garage sale, and I am planning to host another on May 23, 2026 at 351 McGregor Drive in Canonsburg. I will gratefully accept your donation of golf clubs, bags, shoes and gadgets. Please contact me at henrymanciu@gmail.com to arrange pick up and join me on May 23 to stock up on great golf gear at affordable prices, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and the Ace Grant.

4) On August 15 and 16, 2026, I'll be hosting an AJGA PUMA state cup junior golf event at my favorite golf course, the Jack Nicklaus-designed Club at Nevillewood. I'll be inviting the best junior golfers from our area to compete, have fun in a Ryder Cup format, and raise funds for great causes! Invitations will be sent at the end of May. Big thanks to the AJGA and to Nevillewood for their support of this event.

5) Book a party or a home visit with me as the Golfing Grinch! Keep me in mind for your holiday events and to make your kids' season magical. Stay tuned for details in November.

The AJGA's Leadership Links program helps develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service oriented practices at an early age.
