Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea to join me in supporting two incredible organizations, the Jack Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation for Leadership Links and the AJGA’s ACE Grant Foundation
My Name is Liam Lodding. I am a AJGA Junior golfer from Illinois.
Please Join Me in Supporting a Cause Close to My Heart.
Last July, I faced a life-threatening battle with acute myocarditis, spending 7 difficult and scary days in the ICU at UIC Hospital in Chicago after being Medflighted from an AJGA tournament in Indiana.
It was a journey that shook me to my core and provided me with profound insights and lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. During those difficult days, I received care that was nothing short of exceptional. The doctors, nurses, and medical staff at UIC Hospital not only saved my life, but also provided me with unwavering support and compassion. Their dedication and expertise inspired me to look at life through a new lens, appreciating every moment and blessing with profound gratitude.
Throughout this ordeal, one thing remained constant - my love for golf. Golf has been more than just a game to me; it has been a source of joy, passion, and resilience.
As I faced the uncertainty of my health, the lessons I learned on the golf course - perseverance, determination, and focus - became my guiding light. Today, I am incredibly grateful to be here, to be fully healed by the grace of God and embracing each day with renewed appreciation and a deep sense of gratitude.
As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the importance of giving back and supporting others who may be facing similar challenges. My mom walked down the hall in the ICU unit one night while we were there and shared with me the countless children left there alone in such a scary place. This made such a profound impact on me realizing how truly lucky I was to be in a safe place being supported by the people who love me most! That's why I am proud to support the Jack Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation for Leadership Links and the AJGA’s ACE Grant Foundation. Both organizations are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and young adults, providing them with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
By supporting these organizations, you are not only helping to save lives and improve healthcare outcomes but also empowering young individuals to pursue their passions and dreams, just as golf has been mine.I humbly ask for your support in this endeavor. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in the lives of those in need. Together, we can create a brighter future for children and young adults, ensuring that they have the support and resources they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
As we start the Golf Season of 2024 it’s going to be known as my comeback year on and off the course. I’m healed, I’m healthy, I’m strong and I feel absolutely incredible. I’m looking forward to an Awesome championship golf season. As I am in a fight for my comeback, children in the world are in a fight for their lives! Let’s help them be able to have access to amazing care.
I am extremely excited to be back with AJGA Leadership Links raising more money for the Jack Nicklaus Healthcare Foundation and ACE.
In 2023 I raised $38,000 for my 2 favorite charities, My Goal this year is to Double Last years epic finish! Let’s do this together, with your help we can hit my goal!

Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization.
My lofty goal is to raise $77,777.
My other charity is the Liberty National ACE Grant Program.
I would also like to help to raise money for charity and the Liberty National ACE Grant Program!
This program is to help kids that have a love for golf be able to play and compete on a level that will help them to get scholarships to college. It will give them access to play in tournaments and give them better opportunities to play golf. This is so important to me because I have been blessed and I realized that not everyone has the opportunities that has been bestowed upon me. I so grateful I have the chance to help and to change lives of kids in this way.
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are 100% tax-deductible. Thank you for any support you can lend!
