About the Pacific Northwest Cup
The Washington Cup is entering an exciting new chapter! Renamed the Pacific Northwest Cup, the event will be played this year at Overlake Country Club and will expand beyond Washington to include juniors from Canada, creating an even bigger celebration of golf, philanthropy, and friendly team competition across the Pacific Northwest.
While the event is growing, the Pacific Northwest Cup proudly continues the tradition and foundation established by the Washington Cup. Founded in 2023 through a partnership between Sahalee Country Club, the AJGA, Bridge of Promise, and AJGA members Kaitlin Ojendyk and Zach Huang, the event has brought local juniors together through fundraising, leadership, and a Ryder Cup-style team competition.
This year’s Ryder Cup-style event will raise money for the AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant Program and Bridge of Promise. Hosted by Aydin Mawjee and Tucker Nash, the Pacific Northwest Cup will feature 24 local juniors competing as teams while making a meaningful impact in their communities.
Together, the field has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $40,000, with each junior working to raise $1,500 or more. With the expansion into Canada and the continued support of the Washington golf community, the Pacific Northwest Cup is set to build on an incredible tradition and make this year’s event bigger and more exciting than ever!
