Good Day,
Mary Douglas and I are proud to be participating in the 8th annual Mason Cup, one of the top junior golf events in Kentucky and we’re raising money for two organizations that mean a lot to us: The Mason Goodnight Foundation and The AJGA's Liberty National ACE Grant and seeking your patronage and assistance.
The Mason Cup, held at The Club at Olde Stone has become the favorite event for junior golfers across the region. We'll be playing a Ryder Cup-style format with 30 of our friends, split into two teams of 16 juniors (8 girls and 8 boys per team). The competition is fun, the golf is incredible, and this year, our goal is to raise $60,000 as a group!
This event is personal for the Childers’ family; Mason Goodnight was from our hometown of Bowling Green and lived up the street from us. He was a kind and talented young athlete who tragically passed away in 2017. We play to honor his legacy and to help other kids in our community through the foundation created in his name. The ACE Grant (Achieving Competitive Excellence) provides financial assistance to young men and women pursuing a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. It helps ensure that talent, not financial situation, determines opportunity. We’ve been challenged to raise at least $2,500 but our goal is to exceed $5,000 and we hope to go even beyond that with your help. Every donation counts and makes a difference!
