From the time I was three years old, golf has been my North Star. Along with my parents’ guiding hands, golf has served as a mentor, teaching me how to process failure and achieve success. How to plan my work and then work my plan. How to communicate with strangers and truly hear them, too. Including an understanding of the cost of relationships. You have to invest to earn. Placing love, respect, and attention into human interaction—the minimum wage people should offer one another.

I’m reaching out today to share that I’ll be participating in the fifth annual Metro Cup at The Bridge, hosted by the American Junior Golf Association on October 5. This event raises money for The Bridge Golf Foundation and the AJGA's Liberty National ACE Grant program.

The Bridge Golf Foundation is a nonprofit based in Harlem, whose mission is to help young men close gaps in achievement, learning and opportunity; to improve their college readiness; and to help them graduate from college and move into the workforce.

The AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant program is dedicated to providing financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.

The upcoming Metro Cup is an opportunity for me to demonstrate my appreciation for the experiences that I’ve harnessed. To give back to the game that has provided me with so much.

My goal is to raise a minimum of $500 by September 10, and to surpass $1,000 by September 25. Any donation you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration, and please know that I will work hard to demonstrate continued leadership and advocacy in this way.
