Sam Wilda and Finley Tyrrell welcome you to the fifth annual 2025 Junior Chicago Cup!

 

We are excited to welcome the top 24 junior golfers from greater Chicago region to Edgewood Valley CC in La Grange, IL.  Congratulations on being accepted into the Junior Chicago Cup! Sam and Finley are so excited to host the event and have been working hard to make this State Cup the best one yet!

The Junior Chicago Cup is a unique junior golf event series providing competitive junior golfers development in important life skills such a charitable giving, leadership, and teamwork. Participants gain a greater understanding and knowledge of the benefiting charities while being celebrated for their accomplishments.

This year, Sam and Finley have a goal to collectively fundraise $50,000 for the following charities:
 

The Mend a Heart Foundation is a Chicago-area nonprofit charity dedicated to helping children born with congenital heart defects. Founded in 2007 by Bridget and Brian O’Meara after their son was born with a serious heart condition, the organization raises money to support medical research, patient care, and family resources.

It is run entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds going directly to its mission. The foundation funds initiatives such as cardiac research, high school heart screenings, and summer camp scholarships for children with heart conditions.


Liberty National ACE Grant Program
The ACE Grant program is dedicated to helping junior golfers with the ability to play golf at the national level but lack the financial resources to do so.

Entry Fee
While there is no entry fee to play in this tournament, every junior is responsible to raise at least $1,500 to be donated to these charities.

  • $500 minimum met by May 23, 2025
  • $750 minimum met by June 20th, 2025
  • $1,000 minimum met by July 4, 2025
  • $1,500 minimum met by July 20, 2025
