About the Houston Cup

The Houston Cup is a premier team fundraising event established by Tyler Kuo in 2024 to bring together passionate golfers and supporters for a great cause. This year marks a significant milestone, as we are excited to host the event at the prestigious Bluejack National, known for its world-class facilities and stunning golf course. In 2025 it will be hosted by Asher Vargas and Tyler Kuo. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit two exceptional organizations: The First Tee of Houston and the Liberty National ACE Grant. Since its inception in 2003, the Liberty National ACE Grant has played a pivotal role in making competitive junior golf accessible to talented young athletes in need of financial assistance. The grant helps juniors pursue their dreams by providing the necessary funding to compete in national tournaments, ultimately creating opportunities to earn college golf scholarships.

Schedule of Events

Sunday, August 10:

• 2:30 pm – Registration Opens
• 3:30 pm – First Tee Time on the Playground
• Following Play – Banquet on patio
• Free Play on Playground

Monday, August 11:

• 8:30 am – First Tee Time
• Following Play – Award Ceremony

About the State Cup Series

The State Cup Series is a distinguished junior golf event series that emphasizes the development of essential life skills beyond the golf course. Through this series, young athletes not only hone their golfing abilities but also gain invaluable lessons in charitable giving, leadership, and teamwork. As they compete, participants gain a deeper understanding of the charitable causes they support, while also being recognized and celebrated for their outstanding achievements both on and off the course.
