For the last 6 years of my life, the game of golf has meant the world to me. I started really getting into it when covid-19 came around, all we could do was go to the golf course to see our friends, and I did it every single day. i guess you could say I "got the golf bug" I fell in love with competing and seeing improvement through hard work. Not soon after that I started playing tournaments, I was traveling across the south, meeting new people, competing, and pursuing my dream of playing in college. However, one thing about the game of golf is it is not the most accessible, and playing a year of tournaments requires financial backing. If it were not for the sacrifices of my parents, I would not be where I am today, a kid who is living out his dream playing golf tournaments and committed to play at his dream school. However, many kids are unable to play all the events I played or have all the amazing experiences I have had because of financial situations. That is where Youth On Course, and AJGA's Liberty National Ace Grant program come in. The Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. And youth on course makes the game accessible to so many kids, by providing access to life-changing opportunities through golf. All that said, I am excited to announce I will be competing in the Commonwealth Cup! A golf tournament that will benefit the ACE Grant Program and Youth On Course, my goal is to raise $1000 so that everyone will be able to pursue their dreams the way I have.
