Fundraising for the Carolina Cup

I am thrilled to host the Carolina Cup for the third and final time. This Ryder Cup-style event brings together 24 of the top junior golfers in the Carolinas. Since its inception in 2010, this tournament has raised over $900,000 for various charities, including CureSearch for Children's Cancer, The First Tee of Sandhills, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
My brother, Turner, co-captained this event for two years, and we were privileged to be hosted by the Pinehurst Resort and the Country Club of North Carolina during that period. Two years ago, I was fortunate enough to become the tournament host. Trying to add my own mark to the event, we moved it to Eagle Point Golf Club, which has been remarkable. Together with the AJGA, we are committed to making this the premier junior fundraising event in the United States.
Through this competition, we will raise funds to support the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation for childhood disease research, the Harold Varner III Foundation for affordable access to sports, and the AJGA's ACE Grant Program for financial assistance to junior golfers seeking collegiate scholarships.
Having been part of the Carolina Cup for the past five years, I am excited to pass the baton next year to my co-captain, Smith Summerlin. This year, I have set my personal fundraising goal at $150,000 — my highest yet. I cannot thank you enough for any support you can lend to these wonderful causes.
