I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the 8th annual Alabama Cup! This event brings together 24 young golfers for a Ryder Cup-style competition while raising money for the AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant Program and a local Alabama charity.

I am excited to participate because the Alabama Cup gives me the opportunity to use my golf skills to give back to my community and support other young golfers. Each participant is challenged to raise $1,500 for charity, and once our fundraising goals are reached, we compete in a Ryder Cup-style event.

The Alabama Cup was started in 2018 by Gordon Sargent (Vanderbilt University) and Reynolds Lambert (Furman University) and was originally hosted at Shoal Creek Golf Club to benefit Children’s Harbor, the American Cancer Society, and the AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant Program. While the hosts, venues, and charities have changed over the years, the mission of giving back through golf and celebrating the fundraising efforts of junior golfers has remained the same. In 2025, the event was hosted by the Emblem and Norwood families. This year, Courtney Grace will host the tournament at Greystone Country Club!

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Highlands College and the AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant Program. Highlands College is a Birmingham-based nonprofit that provides biblical education, practical ministry training, and leadership development to equip students to serve and lead in their churches and communities. Since 2003, the AJGA’s Liberty National ACE Grant Program has provided financial assistance to talented junior golfers who need support to compete in national junior golf tournaments and pursue college golf opportunities.

My goal is to raise $1,000. Thank you for any support you can lend!
