Raising money for the Alabama Cup

Whit Smith
I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the Alabama Cup! This event will raise money for the AJGA's Liberty National ACE Grant Program and a local charity in Alabama.
I am excited to play in the 8th annual Alabama Cup because it allows me to use my golf skills to better my community as well as the golf industry. This event organizes 24 young men and challenges them to raise $1,500 for charity. We compete in a Ryder Cup style event when we reach our fundraising goals.
The Alabama Cup was started in 2018 by Gordon Sargent (Vanderbilt University) and Reynolds Lambert (Furman University) and hosted by Shoal Creek Golf Club to benefit Children's Harbor, the American Cancer Society, and the AJGA's Liberty National ACE Grant Program. While the hosts, venues, and charities have changed over the years, the mission and purpose to make a charitable contribution while celebrating the successful fundraising of the juniors have never wavered. In 2023 the event was run by the Emblem Family along with the Norwood family.
My goal is to raise $1,500. Thank you for any support you can lend!
To contribute via check, please make out to "AJGA - Alabama Cup" and send to:
American Junior Golf Association
1980 Sports Club Drive
Braselton, GA 30517
(Please also include my name in the memo line)
Sincerely,
Whit Smith
