Hi, My name is Liam Lodding, a junior golfer from Illinois and ranked #1 in my graduating class of 2026 In Illinois. My dream since I have started playing golf is to play D-1 college golf and then to one day play on the PGA TOUR!
As many of you know the passion of my life is golf. I love everything about the game and what it brings to my life! I have been blessed with many friendships, mentors and so many lessons that have taught me so much about life and the true love for the game.
Unfortunately I was recently had a recent turn of events that has taken me away from the passion of my life.
While at an AJGA golf tournament I got sick from an infection that attacked my heart! While it was a scary time for me and my family, i was blessed with amazing doctors and nurses who acted quickly and got me diagnosed, flew me to a great hospital where they put me on the mend!
I have been truly blessed that I was treated so well. I am now thankfully moving towards a place of complete health and recovery due to such great care!
Sometimes in life we find a new perspective where darkness happens and light follows. I am so grateful and blessed as I will be recovering fully from Myocarditis and it will be a 3-6 month recovery. While that seems like so long for me not to be on the course, I also recognize It’s a blip in the big picture of life! I have learned so much from this experience and want to be able to give back.
There are many children who aren’t as lucky! There are many children who are ill and may never recover, because they dont have access to care like I did! There are children that need your help and the Nicklaus Children’s Heath foundation can help.
Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization.
I am so excited I chose this charity to give back in honor of the amazing doctors and nurses at UIC Health in Chicago that took such amazing care of me while I was in such dire need.
Your generous gift to the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation will live on in the long, healthy lives of children who get the care they need. You’ll help more children receive critical treatment. You’ll help bring hope to kids fighting for survival. You’ll literally help fix broken hearts. You’ll help make miracles happen. I am also so excited to raise money for charity the Liberty National ACE Grant Program! Because of my love for golf and how much it has blessed my life. I want to also raise money for this program as well.
The Liberty National ACE Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. The Liberty National ACE Grant covers expenses incurred while attending American Junior Golf Association ("AJGA") events, as well as select USGA junior events and State Championships.
My goal is to raise $22222 The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
